GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Catholic scores late for win over GW

Kim Abcouwer scored the game-winning goal with four minutes leftto lift Charleston Catholic (3-1-1) to a 2-1 girls soccer victoryTuesday over George Washington at Schoenbaum Stadium.

After a scoreless first half, Abcouwer beat Patriot goalkeeperJane Bullock to open the scoring. The Patriots (0-2-2) countered withan unassisted goal by Kathleen Barber to tie the score at 1.

In other girls soccer Tuesday:

Hurricane 5, Princeton 1 - Skye Smith scored two of her team'sfour first-half goals to help the host Redskins (3-0-1) remainunbeaten.
