NSW: Major cleanup to get underway after massive wind storm

A major cleanup operation is underway this morning after a wind storm with gusts of
110 kph wreaked havoc on parts of Sydney and New South Wales last night.

Emergency crews have worked throughout the night to restore power to an estimated 75,000
homes in metropolitan Sydney, Sydney's West, the Southern Highlands and South Coast Regions.

The State Emergency Services received nearly 1,000 calls for assistance, mainly in
southern areas of Sydney after the storm swept through at 7pm (AEDT).
