GOIN' BUGGY INSECTS COULD MAKE IT A TOUGH SEASON.(SPORTS)

It's the season to start itching and scratching, drowning your pores in perfumed Skin-So-Soft, or the pungent aroma of numerous lotions and sprays.

The swarms are arriving, rising from the boggy marshes, swamps and backyard sinkholes. They are coming to make outdoor activities not only miserable, but potentially dangerous.

Bugs . . . yuck.

The spring has sprung hordes of 'em, and for those fond of recreating in the great outdoors, it's time to start formulating plans of defense and stocking up on repellent.

Most bothersome are flying insects of various varieties, and ticks, which can be dangerous once pouncing on unsuspecting hikers along beaten paths.

Although the weather hasn't been consistently warm enough to bring out the swarms …
