Vic: Woman seriously injured in hit-and-run
A woman has been seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in Melbourne's west.
Police say the woman, believed to be aged in her 50s, was struck by a dark four-wheel
drive on Burke Street, Braybrook, near the intersection with the Western Highway, about
6.45pm (AEST).
She has been taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with serious injuries.
Police have asked for help in identifying the injured woman, who is of Asian appearance
and believed to be a local resident, and to locate the vehicle involved in the incident.
Police believe the four-wheel drive was a 1980s model with a bullbar and a short wheelbase.
Police say the woman was wearing a brown jacket, a brown hat and glasses.
