A court's been told heard a teenage boy killed his mother, with his father and sisteralso taking part in the murder, because they believed she worshipped Satan.
The 18-year-old son, 40-year-old father and 16-year-old daughter have all pleaded NOTguilty on the grounds of mental illness to murdering the woman at Glossodia, in Sydney'snorth-west, in October last year.
None of the family can be named.
Prosecutor PATRICK BARRETT told the NSW Supreme Court the 35-year-old victim was stabbedin the chest and a pair of scissors was inserted up her nose.
Mr BARRETT says that after his arrest, the father told police the woman deserved todie because she worshipped Satan.
The son told police his mother was a witch and had molested him as a child.
Mr BARRETT said the parents had split up in December 2000.
The trial before Justice GRAHAM BARR, without a jury, has been adjourned until Thursday.
